Campsite Facilities
Bispham Hall Scout Estate has the following facilities available to campers:
- Providore stocking sweets, drinks, badges, souvenirs and basic camping supplies such as gas, paraffin etc. Local convenience store, butcher, chemist, etc are all within ten minutes walking distance from the main entrance.
- Two toilet blocks with hot showers.
- Two campfire circles, for either large or small events. Campfires are usually arranged by the Duty Warden, or groups can organise their own by request.
- Open air chapel available for church services or as a place for peace and personal meditation.
- Laundry and drying facilities are available. A large commercial style washing machine and coin operated tumble dryer are located at the rear of the providore building.
- Water points are situated throughout the site. All of our water is metered and we pay for every drop. Please help to conserve supplies and keep down costs by turning off taps after use. Do not do your washing up under running taps or in the toilet blocks. You should have washing up facilities on your own campsite !
- Vehicles and parking. Vehicles are not allowed on fields and after loading/unloading should be parked on one of the main Car Parks. The Service Crew will move equipment by tractor and trailer to/from the more remote parts of the site.
- Rubbish Disposal. Waste should be burned or put into the large skipon the main car park. There are recycling bins for metal and glass on the main car park.
- Fires. Permanent fireplaces are established on most camping fields. Fires should not be sited elsewhere without the Wardens permission. Alter fires are available from the site staff and firewood is readily available from the woodpiles.
Every weekend during the camping season a Duty Warden and a Service Crew are available should you need general advice or assistance.
